- 15 minutes of IXL or Khan Academy math
- 15 minutes of Raz-Kids or other reading
Good morning, kindergarten! Today we are going to practice a few more tricky sight words to help us become better readers. Remember, when we read sight words, we want to be able to read them right away, so we shouldn’t be stretching out the words. Remembering all those sight words takes lots of practice, so it’s important that you are practicing your sight word flashcards every day. Our focus words today are come, have, and went. First, watch these videos to help you practice each of these words. Remember, it’s okay to watch the videos more than once!
Now that you’ve watched all three videos, I want you to to practice reading those words. Try to shout out the word before I do. I’m also going to include the words you practiced last week with Mrs. Anderson, and some other words that you should know. Ready?
For today’s activity, I want you to write these sight words with the colors of the rainbow. Make sure that you are using lowercase letters when you write, and practice forming your letters correctly. Then, I want you to practice your sight word flashcards. If you already know all your sight words, I want you to write a sentence using each of today’s words. For example, I went for a walk today. When you’re done, check out the links below for online interactive games to give you even more practice with your sight words.
