Counting on 5-27-20

Hi Kindergarten,
Today we are going to practice counting on by playing an addition game with dice.  Remember counting on means you can start counting at any number and go on to another number.  So if I want to start at 6 and count to 10, I would say "6, 7, 8, 9, 10."  I would not start counting with 1.
So you can use two dice, roll, add, and write down the addition number sentence.
For example -  I roll a 6 and a 4.  I'm going to say  6 and then count on to figure out the total.  I will write the number sentence as 6+4=10.
If you don't have dice you can use pennies to make two numbers to add together.  Make five addition sentences and send a picture on Remind to your teacher.

Have a great day!
💙,
Mrs. W.
