Day 12 Picasso

Good Morning Kindergarten! Today we are going to do some art! We are going to learn a little about Pablo Picasso’s life then you and your family can make some cubist art. First watch these two short videos about Picasso’s life.

Now we are going to learn a little more about one of Picasso’s most famous styles of painting, cubism. You can do the self-portrait assignment at the end of the video if you want, but I have a different idea for our class art project today so you can skip that part of the video. https://youtu.be/RlNf5XZDcQs

Today you can make your own cubist drawing. First, draw a picture of anything you want. Then draw straight lines over the top of the picture. Last, color in each of the sections in different colors. Send me pictures of what you make and I’ll post them on our blog so everyone can see our art gallery.
